Dragon Scale Music was never born from a business plan.
It started in a garage, a living room, a car—and with a group of friends singing their hearts out to their favorite songs. We learned early on that music could do more than just fill a space—it could bring people together, build community, and create unforgettable memories.
In 2015, Dr. Charlie Hueber had the vision to turn that spirit into something real.
By 2022, he doubled down—committing to grow Dragon Scale Music into a full-service DJ, karaoke, and live music experience across the Texas Hill Country.
After years of performing, DJing, and hosting karaoke nights from Comfort to Kerrville and beyond, we’ve learned that the most powerful moments don’t happen on big stages. They happen when people sing together, dance without hesitation, and feel truly seen and celebrated. That’s what Dragon Scale Music is built to deliver—one party, one love song, one unforgettable night at a time.

Founder Charlie Hueber brings a rare combination of music performance, sound engineering, and event planning experience to Dragon Scale. With decades in higher education leadership and a lifelong passion for songwriting and live entertainment, Charlie’s approach blends professionalism with authenticity. His solo work—featured on CharlieHueber.com—captures the same heart and humor he brings to every wedding, karaoke night, and honky-tonk set.
Charlie has hosted hundreds of events across Texas, from rowdy dive bars to elegant Hill Country weddings, and knows how to read a room better than most. Whether he’s behind the mic or behind the scenes, every show is part playlist, part performance, and part people skills.
